on

“Envisioning the Universities of Tomorrow in the Age of Emerging Technologies, Disruption and Change”

November 18-21, 2018
Dusit Thani Pattaya Hotel, Thailand

RATIONALE

“Our societies rely on Peace for our growths. An important aspect of our survival and progress had to do with peace initiatives, positive growths of our institutions and their impact to students who are instrumental in our futures ; in good governance, respect of human rights, freedom, trust and in adopting a dynamic intercontinental cultural understanding.” Our challenge in education is the degree to which we contribute to societal transformation.

The Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) in collaboration with the Master's Institute Development Academy and Seminary, Thailand and the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU)-France will organize the 1st Joint International Conference and the 16th AUAP General Conference with the theme “Envisioning the Universities of Tomorrow in the Age of Emerging Technologies, Disruption and Change”. It will be held on November 18-21, 2018 at the Dusit Thani Hotel Pattaya, in the resort city of Pattaya, Thailand.

The “Age of Emerging Technologies, Disruption and Change”, is generally referred to by experts as the Fourth Industrial Revolution or simply “Industry 4.0.” This new revolution will bring about profound changes in our universities as many existing courses will become irrelevant but new courses will have to be created to produce new talents needed by our society. The way we teach these courses will also change.
